Cabin Features 客艙特色

The 787-10 is the longest among the 3 787 variants, although you wouldn't really notice it when you're inside the cabin.  EVA's 787-10 is in a standard 3-3-3 configuration with a modern cabin, which is the airline's latest product.

The IFE system features a wide HD screen, with an USB charging port at the bottom of the screen.  Below the screen, you'll find a storge compartment for literature or small electronic devices.

At the bottom, you'll find a seat pocket and a 31 - 32 inch of legroom.

The Flight 飛行時

Despite boarding being completed early, we were not able to push back until 10 - 15 minutes after our posted departure time.

With a short flight time of just an hour, the crew promptly began meal service as soon as the seatbelt sign was turned off.  I also began indulging in a movie as soon as the IFE became available.  Mind you, EVA Airways forces you to watch their welcome video (looped indefinitely during boarding), safety video and several ads before making the IFE system available to you.

The IFE system is improved on the newer aircraft with a more updated interface and interactive flight map.  Yet, the content is still lacking compared to some other major airlnes.

The new cabin also comes with an updated IFE system, making it a smoother yet still somewhat lacklustre experience

Soon, the crew came over with the meals and there was only 1 option.  Today, we were having a cold Japanese-style noodles with chasu, Japanese-style eggs topped with optional sesame sauce.  Despite being a cold meal, I enjoyed it just as much.

After the meals were served, the cabin crew came around the second time for coffee and tea.  I happily took the coffee as it was much needed to supercharge myself for the long day ahead.

Not long after, our meal trays were collected in preparation for arrival.  I barely had time to finish my coffee.

We then landed behind schedule in a haze-covered Hong Kong.
