在疫情前,Anky仔很少去韓國的,但在疫情後,國泰航空從首爾仁川機場出發的航班全有特價,所以我們也去了一次南韓 【上一次的飛行就是前往首爾的大韓航空】。今次,我們坐的是CX419,它是前一天的CX418到達的,飛機也使用了國泰的新機隊 -- A350。國泰航空在仁川機場是使用第一航廈的,大家不要去了第二航廈了。
I seldom visited Korea before the pandemic. However, since Cathay Pacific introduced promotions to Seoul, I chose to visit again (I flew with Korean Air last time). This time, I'll be flying on CX419. The incoming flight was CX418. The relatively new A350 was used on this route. Cathay Pacific uses terminal 1 at Incheon Seoul Airport, be sure to head to the correct terminal.
大家也知道首爾仁川機場是非常熱鬧,所以我們也建議各位早一點時間到達。國泰航空就只有頭等艙旅客及鑽石卡會員才有特快通道。我們坐商務艙及金卡會員也是沒有特快通道的邀請卡,因為安檢人員是看到有特快通道邀請卡才給你進入。我們也排了大約30分鐘才過安檢及辦理出境手續。過了安檢後,我們就去韓亞航空在中間的貴賓室,它是位於26號登機門附近的,但由於要上一層,所以大家要看清楚了。
As you may have known, Seoul Airport is quite busy, so I'll suggest you to arrive early. Only those in First Class and hold Diamond status with Cathay Pacific have access to the express lane. Those in Business and hold Gold status (in this case me) do not have this privilege. It took about 30 minutes before we made it through immigration and security check. Afterwards, we headed to the Asiana lounge, near gate 26 (a floor above the gates).
大家應該也知道韓國的貴賓室其實一定不多東西吃的,所以也建議大家吃飽飽才好去機場了。貴賓室就有四款熱食,小吃,杯麵及有限度的飲料。但不能不說,韓亞航空的貴賓室看飛機就不錯不錯的,因為外面就已經是登機門的地方,而且貴賓室也有洗澡的位置(好像只是幾個)。
The Asiana lounge doesn't really have a lot to offer, so I'll suggest you to have a meal before arriving at the airport. There were only 4 types of hot food, some snacks, cup noodles and limited beverages. Though, I have to say that the lounge is great for planespotting since it is right next to the gates. The lounge also features showering rooms.

貴賓室在26號登機門附近,但當天的CX417是停在48號登機門,距離也有一點遠,所以大家也應該提早離開貴賓室了。
The lounge is located at gate 26 but our flight boarded from gate 48. Since there is a fair bit of distance, I'd recommend you to leave some time to walk to the gate.
我到達登機門時,地勤人員在指示旅客排隊。登機證雖顯示登機時間是09:40,但航班結果在差不多10時才開始登機。地勤人員按登機順序登機,所以登機非常流暢。
By the time I arrived at the gate, the ground staff were instructing passengers to line up. Although the boarding pass indicates that the boarding time was 09:40, boarding didn't actually begin until 10am. With the guidance of the staff, boarding was pretty smooth.
登機後,我們也看到不少商務艙的旅客已經登機。到最後,整個商務艙是全滿的。國泰航空的A350-900或A350-1000也是會執飛長途航班,而且A350機隊也算新(A321neo之後),所以所有A350的商務艙是以1-2-1配置,也可以平躺的。而在登機前,你的座位就已經有了枕頭及毛毯。個人抗噪音耳機就在座位旁的小櫃中。餐單就由以前高級艙務長派發改至在登機前己放在小桌子上。
After boarding, I noticed that most guest were already boarded. As expected, business class was full today. Cathay Pacific's A350-900 and A350-1000 are deployed on longer routes, and they are relatively new (with the newest being the A321neo). The seats are configured in a 1-2-1 layout and can be lied completely flat. A pillow and blanket were already placed on the seat before boarding. The noisecancelling headphones can be found in the small cabinet next to the seat. The menu was placed on the table instead of being handed out from the senior cabin manager like how it used to be.
A350的個人電視比B777-300ER及A330的大,而且接觸式也比他們好。個人電視設有機尾及起落架的即時影像,讓飛機迷的你或不是坐窗戶位置的你看到外面的風景。
The IFE screens on the A350s are larger than those on the 777-300ER and A330s; the screen is also more responsive. The entertainment system features a tail and gear cameras, so that aviation enthusiast won't miss out if you're stuck in the middle!
個人電視近走道的下方位置也擺放了嘔吐袋及A350安全指示卡。(以前也會擺放機內雜誌及免稅商品的雜誌,但因疫情大家需減少接觸,所以國泰也收走了雜誌。)
An air sickness bag and safety card were placed in the storage space below the screen (previously you'll also find a magazine and duty free catalogue but they've been discontinued in order to reduce contact points).
由於飛機起飛時間是在10點多的時間,所以飛機餐是派發午餐,大家知道原因是甚麼嗎?因為飛機餐是在起飛後才派發,所以飛機上天空後也已經10點半,派發飛機餐就已經差不多11點了,所以飛機餐會是午餐。亦由於飛機的飛行時間多於3小時,所以國泰提供的午餐服務是全式的,不是以一盤上的方法。
Lunch was offered on today's flight despite our departure time of 10am. This is because by the time the meals were ready, it would be close to lunch time. Since our flight time was longer than 3 hours, we were given full service. This means that each dish was served one after another, instead of having all on a single tray.
國泰航空在疫情也更換了枕頭及毛毯。枕頭在登機前已放在你的座位。毛毯則在登機後空服人員派發。
The pillow was placed on the seat before boarding; while the blanket was distributed later on.
在CX417航班上,有一個比較差的事情就是沒有國泰的特色飲料 - CATHAY DELIGHT。但艙務長的熱情及有善卻令我留下深刻的印象。加上,大家也有看新聞就知道國泰航空的空服人員在疫情被公司解僱,又或是減薪,更在航班中減少空服人員人數,令空服人員的服務愈來愈差,所以我能看到還有那麼有心的空服人員,我真的要感恩了。
One small rant that I had on this flight was that they ran out of Cathay's signature drink - Cathay Delight. However, the enthusiasm and friendliness of the purser was remarkable. In addition, I'm sure for those who have been following the news would know that a good amount of crew were being laid off or have their salary lowered. To add insult to injury, the number of crew was reduced on a lot of flights. These lead to a decline in service. Therefore, I'm thankful everytime I encounter crew that really put their hearts to their job.
熱毛巾及歡迎飲料在大部份商務艙旅客登機後派發 。歡迎飲料有4款,包括:水、蘋果汁、柳橙汁及香檳。空服人員會放在盤子上,旅客可自行拿取。空服人員收回杯子及毛巾後,就會先為鑽石卡旅客點餐,其次是金卡。他們除了問主餐外,亦會詢問你在主餐時的飲料,餐前飲料。如果選擇紅白酒,也會建議你選擇或嘗試哪一款。
Hot towels and welcome drinks were given after most business class guests were boarded. There are 4 options for the welcome drinks: water, apple juice, orange juice and Champagne. The drinks are placed on the meal tray and the passengers can choose the one they prefer from the tray. After the empty glasses and towels were taken away, meal orders were first taken for Diamond elites, followed by Gold elites. Aside from the main dish, you'll also be asked your beverage of choice. If you opt for either red or white wine, you'll be asked to choose a type.
空服在詢問其他旅客期間,飛機也滑行至跑道準備起飛,機長也會廣播「Cabin Crew,Please be seated for take off」
While the orders were being taken, we were taxiing to the runway. Before take off, you'll hear the captain announcing,'Cabin crew, please be seated for take off'.
起飛後,空服會在準備好的時候才派發飛機餐。一開始派發的是花生及餐前飲料。Anky仔就在11點多就喝了白酒來配花生 。再看著藍藍的天空,也是另一種的享受。
After take off, the crew began preparing for the meals. To start, we were given some peanuts and drinks. It is a luxury to be enjoying the peanuts with a glass of white wine while staring out at the blue sky.
大部份旅客吃完花生後,空服便開始派發飛機餐的前菜及水。另一名艙務長會派發餐包。
We were givne our appetisers and water after we were almost done with the peanuts. The cabin manager also came around with breads.
吃完前菜後,空服會收起前菜的碟子,之後就上主食。Anky仔因為10天不在香港,所以也特別想吃香港菜,所以也叫了香港風味的菜色。香港風味的餐,空服人員會提供筷子給旅客使用。
The main dish was promptly given after the appetiser was finished. Since I was away from home (Hong Kong) for 10 days, I was craving for some local delicaies. A pair of chopsticks were given for this dish.
飛機餐的最後就是水果,芝士及冰淇淋時間。國泰的韓國出發航班全是韓國上餐的,所以Anky仔也建議大家必吃水果,因為真的甜,又好吃。
To conclude the meal, we were given some fruits, cheese and ice cream. Since the meals were loaded in Korea, I would suggest you to try the fruits since they are really sweet.
完成了整個飛機餐服務後,我也跟艙務長互動了一下,交流一下大家在航空界的感覺。交流後,飛機也繼續在38000呎高空飛行帶大家返回香港。
I had a brief chat with the cabin manager and exchanged our thoughts regarding the aviation industry. We were also cruising at 38000 feet before descending into Hong Kong.
在降落前35分鐘,機長會通知及更新香港的資訊,例如:天氣,時間,降落時間等,同時也會通知空服人員飛機35分鐘降落。當天的航班使用跑道07L降落。現在的跑道07L就是大家香港人所說的三跑。Anky仔也是第一次使用這條跑道的。
We were briefed about the weather conditions, local time and arrival time 35 minutes before our arrival. The crew were also reminded that it was 35 minutes before landing. Our flight landed on runway 07L, which is the third runway (and newest) runway of Hong Kong Airport (the former runway 07L is now 07C). This was my first time landing on this runway.
航班是早於預定時間降落,但由於跑道和航廈距離非常遠,所以滑行時間也非常長,到達指定的登機門時間也剛剛是預定時間到達,所以我們建議所有在香港轉機的旅客,也選長一點的轉機時間,避免轉機時太趕或轉機時安檢大排長龍。
We landed ahead of schedule but since there was a long taxi to the terminal, we arrived just as the clock hit our scheduled arrival time. Taking this into consideration, I'd suggest you to leave more time if you're transiting in Hong Kong to avoid any potential delays.
