大家還記得疫情前執飛的香港吉隆坡航線有哪幾間航空公司嗎?國泰港龍航空在疫情前每天4班航班,亞洲航空每天3-4班,馬來西亞航空公司每天3班來往香港吉隆坡的,但疫情後大家又知道有誰執飛香港吉隆坡線嗎?
Do you recall how many airlines fly between Hong Kong and Kuala Lumpur before the pandemic? Cathay Dragon used to have 4 daily flights, 3-4 for AirAsia and 3 for Malaysia Airlines. Now, do you know which airlines are still serving this route?
疫情後,亞洲航空每天只有1-2班,馬航減至每天1班(使用B738飛機執飛),而國泰航空就保持每天2-3班。在國泰港龍航空結業後,國泰航空就拿回不少的航線飛行,當中包括,吉隆坡,檳城,中國大陸等,而飛機方面,大部份的A330-300已返回國泰機隊中,另外的A321neo飛機也由國泰接手。大家覺得對這些航線會有好嗎?我就帶大家去看看。
After the pandemic, AirAsia has reduced its frequency to 1-2 daily, 1 for Malaysia Airlines (operated by the 737-800), and Cathay Pacific is still operating 2-3 per day. Ever since Cathay Dragon ceased operations, Cathay Pacific has taken over the routes that were left over. These destinations include: Kuala Lumpur, Penang and Mainland China. Aircraft previously owned by Cathay Dragon were also returned to Cathay Pacific, these include the A330-300s and A321neos.
我們在2月左右搭乘CX725前往吉隆坡的。現在的吉隆坡航線,國泰航空也主要使用A330的機隊,但有些航班是可平躺的商務艙飛機,有些就是國泰港龍的飛機或是國泰自己的區域性A330-300航班,所以大家買機票時也看看座位圖阿~我們有幸坐的是以1-2-1配置,可躺的A330-300飛機。當天的商務艙是全滿。
I took the trip to Kuala Lumpur in February onboard CX725. The A330s became the workhorse of the Hng Kong - Kuala Lumpur route. Since the A330s are configured differently i.e., those acquired from Cathay Dragon and certain A330s from Cathay Pacific's fleet use the regional configuration; you would not find lieflat seats on certain A330s. Therefore, be sure to check the seat map before making your reservation. I was lucky to fly on one that has a 1-2-1 configuration, meaning that the aircraft features lieflat seats. The business cabin on this flight was completely full.

由於國泰有多種A330-300飛機,小弟在這就不作太多介紹,只跟大家說,這是一台A33J的飛機,只有一區商務艙 。在頭門登機後,大家就看到商務艙的座位,而Anky仔當天坐12A,商務艙第二排左邊靠窗位置。大家也知道Anky仔自己不喜歡坐那麼前,但也沒辦法了,因為Anky仔買機票後也只剩下這個靠窗位置。
Cathay Pacific has A330-300s that are configured differently as discussed before, and the aircraft that we're on today is an A33J, with only 1 business cabin. The business cabin can be seen after boarding from door L1. I was seated at the window, at seat 12A. I don't really prefer sitting at the front of the cabin but I had no choice since this was the only window seat left at the time I made the booking.
A330-300的個人電視有兩款,就是上圖的可平躺座位的個人電視,跟區域性航班座位的個人電視。上圖的個人電視比B777-300ER及A350的個人電視又不一樣,比起B777-300ER電視是小一點的。
There are 2 types of IFE screens on the A330-300s. One is the one you'll find on the lieflat seats; and the other is a 'fixed' screen that is found on the regional A330s. The IFE screen shown in the photo above is different to the 777-300ER and A350, which is smaller.
座位旁會有一個小的儲物櫃,個人閱讀燈、座位控制器、個人電視控制器、供電子產品充電的插頭及USB頭。小的儲物櫃內會有一個抗噪音耳機及一塊鏡。設計與B777-300ER飛機差不多。
A storage space, reading light, seat controls, IFE remote, USB charging and an universal power outlet are found next to your seat. Inside the storage compartment, you'll find a noisecancelling headphones and a mirror. The seat design is similar to what you'll find on the 777-300ER.
餐單就在你登機前已放在小桌子上。與其他東南亞航線和國泰港龍一樣,主餐都是3款選擇。但就不像新加坡線有喇沙等當地食品。這次的航班東南亞菜是泰式食物,所以Anky仔也選了西餐,配上白酒。
The menu was placed on the table before boarding. You'll be offered 3 choices, same as the SE Asian routes operated by Cathay Dragon; though Laksa is not on the menu like you'll find on the flight to Singapore. Since the SE Asian cuisine offered on the flight was Thai food, I opted for the Wesetern meal instead, complemented by a glass of white wine.
當一部份的商務艙旅客安頓後,空服人員會開始派發歡迎飲料,你可以自行拿取。歡迎飲料有4種,包括:蘋果汁,柳橙汁。水及香檳。如果想學Anky仔要特色飲料,你就需要大膽一些問問空服人員了。幸好,航班上也有Cathay Delight。艙務長也跟隨派發熱毛巾。
Once most business guests were settled, the crew handed out welcome drinks. The options are: apple and orange juices, water and champange. If you wish to have something special, such as Cathay Delight, then you'll have to ask the crew. A hot towel was also handed out by the cabin manager.
由於現在的國泰航班已經減了空服數目,所以客艙經理也需要提供服務。鑽石卡會員最先點餐,之後到金卡會員。空服人員會盡量在起飛前完成點餐服務。
Since the airline has reduced the amount of crew onboard each flight, the cabin manager also has to serve the cabin. The meal orders were taken before departure, from the highest elite status to the lowest.
香港飛往吉隆坡的飛行時間約為3小時30分鐘。所以起飛後,空服不會非常趕地派發花生或前菜。空服人員一次會服務一個至兩個乘客。在前菜前,空服人員會先派發餐前飲料及花生。Anky仔就選擇了白酒,國泰航班共提供三款白酒。
The flight time to Kuala Lumpur was approximately 3.5 hours, so the crew took their time to prepare the meal after take off. 1 to 2 passengers are served each time. Before serving the appetisers, we were given some drinks and peanuts. I went for the white wine, in which 3 types were available.
空服收回小碟子後,客艙經理便會從廚房中送出前菜及飲料。艙務長也在稍後時間拿上麵包籃給予旅客選擇麵包。如沒記錯,麵包籃內有3款麵包的。
The crew took away the small plate and brought out the appetiser and drink. The purser also brought out a bread basket for us to choose our favourite. There are 3 types of breads if memory serves.
主餐方面,由於馬來西亞是不吃豬的國家,所以飛機餐的選擇也是沒有豬的存在。Anky仔選擇了西式:香煎比目魚配薯蓉及蔬菜。飲料方面,空服看見我的白酒已經沒有了,就主動問了一下還需要白酒嗎。
Since pork isn't consumed in Malaysia, you won't find pork in the menu. My Western main dish includes: Halibut with mash potatoes and vegetables. The crew also asked if I wanted a refill for my white wine.
主餐吃完後,空服會收起整個餐盤,同時問你需要水果,冰淇淋,芝士及飲料嗎?當天的冰淇淋有三款選擇,水果就好像比疫情前的進步了。茶是使用JING的牌子,空服會有一個小小的碟子給你是放茶包的。當你覺得味道已經足夠,就可把茶包拿出來。這也是進步的地方。
Our meal tray was taken away after the main dish was finished. Then, we were asked if we wanted some fruits, ice cream, cheese and drinks. There were 3 flavours for the ice cream; and the fruits seem to taste better compared to before the pandemic. The brand of the tea given was 'Jing'. A sauce dish was provided so that you'll have somewhere to put your teabag when you no longer want it in your tea. This is a really thoughtful touch.
享用完飛機餐後,飛行時間也只剩下1個半小時左右,空服人員會問問你是到達吉隆坡還是轉機,因為商務艙旅客是享有特快通道,而空服人員知道你是抵達的話,就會發一張特快通道劵給你。其實,馬來西亞入境職員也沒有收及看你的特快通道劵,因為吉隆坡的入境是有一個專為頭等艙及商務艙的旅客使用,也是說,如果登機證已有顯示頭等艙及商務艙,入境職員就不會看你的特快通道劵了。
There were only 90 minutes left to the flight after the meal service ended. The crew also asked each guest if Kuala Lumpur is your final destination. This is because business class guests have access to the express lane, so if Kuala Lumpur is where you're headed, then you'll be given a pass for the express lane. I later found out that the staff at the immigration don't really check your pass since there's a dedicated area for business and first class guests. So as long as your boarding pass says either of those, they won't bother checking your pass.
Anky仔還沒看完一套香港電影就已經降落了吉隆坡國際機場。飛機是停在中場客運廊,但由於現在的沒人駕駛列車是有時間限制,剛好CX725降落後就是停駛的時間,故此,我們只能乘搭接駁巴士到達入境航廈了。
We landed at Kuala Lumpur Airport before I could finish my movie and we were parked at the Midfield Concourse. Since the driverless train is only operational within certain hours, and our flight landed just after that, our only option was to take the shuttle to the terminal.
